It's Time To Learn!
"May you live in interesting times..." (A Chinese Curse)
If ever there was a saying for today it's this one. We do indeed live in some interesting times. And it does seem like it is a curse. Digital technology is advancing in many fronts in our lives. From how we take and look at our photos, how we listen to music (No more LPs, cassettes, and even CDs), and watch movies (Tivo, NetFlix,etc) is just the tip of the iceberg on the changes that are occurring. Not to mention that technologies are changing the very nature of what our jobs are, and how we can perform them better.
All of these technology changes can seem overwhelming. And for the baby-boomers all these changes have shifted the playing field in how they can keep their existing job, how they can get promoted on their current job, and how they can find a new job. What once seemed like an asset to users (experience, loyality, hard-work, etc.) is now consider quaint notions of a by-gone time. Many companies will choose youth, inexperienced, and tech savy over experienced and wisdom today. That's why we say to customers: It's time to learn the metric system. In other words it's time to learn something new. And that is what The Digital Daddies are all about.
